Condition
The panel is flat and even and ensuring a stable support. There are some fine lines of craquelure, primarily in the skin pigments of the figure's breast. Ultraviolet light reveals spots and minor strokes of retouching, notably in the background in the upper centre, in the figure's waist and upper legs, and spots in the lower right corner. The overall appearance of the work is good and it is ready to hang.
Held in a decorative gilt frame.
The catalogue illustration is overall an accurate representation of the painting.
