Condition
The panel is flat and even and ensuring a stable structural support. Ultraviolet light reveals just a few strokes of retouching notably in the bright red pigments of the background, and there is some very faint hairline craquelure in her forearm. This painting is in good condition and ready to hang.
Held in a decorative gilt frame.
The catalogue illustration is overall accurate, although the colours are somewhat less yellow and deeper in reality.
