- bronze-coated and gilt plaster, in a veneered black marble frame
Condition
Overall the condition of the relief is good with wear and minor dirt to the surface consistent with age. There is some rubbing to the patina and the gilding, particularly to the eyebrows, tip of the nose and outer rim.
The frame consists of several pieces of marble mounted on a limestone base. Joints are visible, including four at the front. There are a few minor nicks and scratches to the marble, including to both of the bottom corners.
