  • Twelve-Piece Set of Cutlery with Gilt Putto Handles
  • steel and gilt bronze, with tooled leather and patinated felt-lined wood case

Condition

The condition of the steel and bronze is good with dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. One of the fork's decorative balls is lost. Some of the hinges and decorative balls are loose. There is some scratching and staining to the steel. The gilt has possibly been refreshed. There are some minor spots of greening to the gilding. There is some dark orange residue and dirt in the crevices of the bronze putti. The leather case is worn and there are four repairs to the base. There are some cracks to the body of the case, and dirt in the crevices. There is some green residue to the base and underside, and a much smaller yellow deposit. There is wear and a loss to the felt.
