Overall the condition of the wood is good with dirt and wear throughout the surface consistent with age, with particular wear to the top edge. This used to be part of a fireplace. There is worming to the surface consistent with material, particularly to the top and upper edge. There is stable naturally occurring splitting, including two larger splits that run from the corners to the inside of the front. The polychromy of the birds in vines has rubbing throughout.
