The condition of the bronze is very good with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is a stable hairline crack to the bottom centre of the Emperor's cloak. There is a plug visible to the front beneath the cloak and to the reverse of the cloak at the neck. There are a few minor losses to the patina, such as to the bottom right of the cloak. There is some very minor scattered greening to the Emperor's proper left shoulder and reverse. There is dirt to the crevices.
