The board is stable and is laid onto a panel. Nails are visible on the left and upper edges of the panel and one at the centre of the left edge has splintered the associated area. There is a small scratch to the base of the red-cloak worn by the man on the right. There are some minor, possibly inherent dents in the board, mainly to the upper right and lower left corners. Otherwise this work is in overall good condition.
Overall the colours are fairly accurate in the printed catalogue, though slightly richer and less yellow in the original.
