Overall the condition of the terracotta is good with dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There are some minor chips to the edges of the terracotta. There is some dirt to the crevices and a very minor stain beneath the signature. There are a few scratches and some chips to the ebonised wood frame. There is some wear to the gilding, and the gilt decoration along the right middle edge is lost. The joint at the top left corner of the frame has come apart slightly. There is wear, paint loss and scratching to the reverse of the frame.
