Condition

Overall the condition of the bronze is very good with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There are a number of small lacunae in the bronze, such as in one of the leopard's mouths and in the internal lip of the lid. There are also a number of minor fissures, including in one of the legs. The internal lip of the lid is cast separately and there is a slightly open but stable joint. The legs and the leopards heads appear to be cast separately, some of the joints are slightly visible. There are minor nicks and scratches to the bronze.
