Condition
STRUCTURE
This picture is lined and there are scattered areas of craquelure, particularly noticeable in the foreground. There is an area of discoloured retouching above the central lioness (visible in the catalogue illustration) - this may benefit from being repainted.
UNDER ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT
There are small isolated retouchings and an 'L shaped' area of retouching to the head of the left lion, probably to a repaired tear. The area of retouching noted above is also visible under ultraviolet light.

This picture is contained in a gilt moulded frame.
