Condition

The sheet is not laid down, but is adhered within a wooden support frame, with traces of a previous support visible when viewed from the reverse. There are pin holes visible in the top left hand corner, with a small tear, not visible in the present frame. There is slight cockling to the sheet, with flecks of surface matter and studio detritus. There are one or two very slight spots of early foxing to the left of the tree in the top left hand quadrant, only visible upon close inspection. This excepting the work appears in very good overall condition, with strong, vivid colours throughout. There is an un-finished figure-study of an archer to the reverse. Housed in a thick ornate silvered wooden frame, set within a cream card mount behind glass.
