with two old paper labels to the underside of the base, one indecipherable and the other numbered: 29
Condition
Overall the condition of the wood is good with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is minor splitting to the wood consistent with age. There are a few small scratches, including to the proper left side of the abdomen. The tips of the proper left thumb and little finger are lost. The halo is lost and there are a few small losses to the hair. The rope binding the hands is partially detached and loose. A section of the rope on top of the column is detached and there is wear and possible restorations to the other sections of rope. There are a few areas of discolouration to the surface, including to Christ's back. There is splitting consistent with material and wear to the wood base.
