The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate.
Condition:
Unexamined out of the frame, this work is in very good condition. There are a few extremely fine and unobtrusive drying cracks to the black pigment in places, with some associated minute specks of paint loss towards the centre of the composition, visible only upon very close inspection. There are also a few scattered hairline cracks to the yellow pigment towards the centre of the top half of the composition. Examination under ultra-violet light reveals a few small specks of retouching in places.
