清康熙 戧金填漆「趕珠雲龍」圖菊式蓋盒 《大明萬曆壬辰年製》仿款

of lobed form supported on a short foot of conforming section, the cover incised on the red lacquer ground with a five-clawed en face dragon writhing around a 'flaming pearl', surrounded by four further dragons striding among billowing clouds, each detailed with a sinuous scaly body and long mane accented in black enamel, all within a black border of key-fret, the sixteen lobes similarly decorated each with a five-clawed dragon chasing a 'flaming pearl', above confronted bats encircling the raised rims and jagged rocks battered by crested waves surrounding the box, the interior and base lacquered in black, the footring picked out with leiwen, the base incised with an apocryphal eight-character Wanli mark in gilt

A 14.5 x 5.5 cm. section of the cover rim is broken and restored with associated cracks extending onto the interior of the cover. There is another 11 cm crack on the opposite side of the cover which extended horizontally on approx 15 cm and has been secured with further extending crackles on the interior. The cover may have some relacquering. The box also has several cracks extending from the rim and relacquered chips to the inner rim. There are some relacquered chips to the footrim.

參考一件類同蓋盒，藏於北京故宮，錄於《中國漆器全集》，卷6，福州，1993年，圖版138。柏林東亞藝術博物館亦藏一例，刊錄於康蕊君，〈Imperial Chinese Lacquer in Berlin〉，《Orientations》，2000年10月，頁89，圖版12。另一例存於愛丁堡皇家蘇格蘭博物館，見於東方陶瓷學會展覽，《The Art of the Ch’ing Dynasty》，倫敦，1965年，編號377。第四例售於紐約蘇富比，2005年9月21/22日，編號194。

北京故宮博物院藏一填漆雲龍紋五瓣梅花式蓋盒，與此相近，或為同類漆盒之雛型模範，啟迪藝思。該器署八字「大明萬曆丁未年製」款，載於《中國美術全集》，卷8，北京，1989年，圖版137。山形縣蟹仙堂博物館存一類同蓋盒，展出於《鎗金・沈金・存星―図版資料》，東京國立博物館，東京，1974年，編號61。本專場中另有一器，形與此同，見編號172。
