suede applique with metallic braid on linen.
height 9 1/2 in.; length 35 1/4 in.
24.1 cm; 89.5 cm

Inscribed in Hebrew Gift of Lipman, son of Benjamin Katz and his wife Madame Teltzela, the daughter of Isaac [5]465 (=1705). Embellished with two hands in the position of a priestly blessing and a family insignia symbolizing the priestly status of the donor.

Condition

A great deal of wear; slight losses to blue suede, gold braid border along three sides. Repaired tears. Creased.
