The first created for Feivush, son of Kosman, born on the Holy Sabbath, 27 Elul [5]585 (=10 September 1825). Inscribed in Hebrew with traditional blessings. Embellished with a wreath symbolizing Virgo (the sign of the month of Elul), a Torah Scroll and a rabbi officiating at a wedding under a huppah. Multicolored paint on linen, with floral and geometric borders.

The second created for Aaron, son of Zerah Segal, born on Tuesday, the fourth intermediate day of Passover, [5]590 (=13 April 1830). Inscribed in Hebrew with traditional blessings. Embellished with the image of a ram (Aries, the symbol of the month of Nisan), a man holding a Torah Scroll aloft and a rabbi officiating at a wedding under a huppah. Multicolored paint on linen, with a stamped border of floral design.

Condition

The first: few light stains, some fading in the border. Minor losses to paint. The second: Lightly stained, though generally in good condition. Small repaired tear.
