Condition
This work is in excellent condition. There is evidence of two light blue accretions along the left edge, 114 cm and 94 cm from the bottom edge. There is one black accretion at the top right corner of the work. There is no evidence of restoration under UV.

書法與舞蹈，同樣是精神的昇華與情感的抒發，而在過程當中，兩者更有微妙的契合之處。唐代詩人杜甫在《觀公孫大娘弟子舞劍器行》序中提到書法家張旭：「善草書帖，數常於鄴縣見公孫大娘舞西河劍器，自此草書長進，豪蕩感激。」說明了藝術行為之間彼此相通相激之妙。謝景蘭的抽象繪畫，有如畫布上的一場精彩舞蹈，憑藉早年在上海音樂學院及杭州藝專的基礎，以及在巴黎跟從大師瓦黑斯（Edgar Varèse）學習現代音樂，謝景蘭的音樂與舞蹈造詣極深，並使她躍過造型藝術，直接投身抽象創作，在1973年，更獲得法國文化部頒發的特別獎學金，表揚並協助她研究音樂、舞蹈和繪畫結合的「綜合藝術」。呈現於《舞動昇華》，謝景蘭饒富書法韻味的線條秀麗靈動，筆觸纖細而不失力量感，在偌大畫布上縱躍騰挪，其柔韌無比的勁度，有如舞者在台上自然地舒展四肢，暢快淋漓；與此同時，現代音樂對於樸素敲擊、荒野迴響之讚嘆，使得謝景蘭在繪畫上不只顯示出眾的人文素養，亦飽含蒼沛純粹的自然力量。除了書法筆觸，藝術家亦擅長在畫面進行層層潑灑、暈染，反覆營造出豐富深邃的精神空間。對觀者而言，此一畫面彷若題有詩句的懸崖峭壁，對於藝術家而言，更不止是一幅自造山水與抒發情思的繪畫，其創作過程本身亦是具有獨立意義的一場藝術行為，而作品則是整個過程的總結與紀綠。
