An early and particularly comprehensive edition of Seutter's large atlas, containing many sheets not routinely found in his atlases, including regional maps of Germany and the famous series of "mining-maps" of eastern Europe.
The highly decorative town plans include Madrid, Lisbon, Paris, Amsterdam, Florence, Rome, Venice, Milan, Naples, London, Stockholm, Constantinople, Vienna, Munich, Salzburg, Augsburg, Strassburg, Frankfurt am Main, Leipzig, Nuremberg, Hamburg, Berlin and Prague. The four maps of North America comprise his copy of the Lewis Evans map of New Jersey/Pennsylvania (1749), Louisiana, New England and Ebenezer (the German settlement in Georgia). Also included are plates of the Roman Emperors and the Pope.
