Chancery 4to (203 x 142mm.), A6 B4 C-Z8 AA-GG8 HH6 II-LL8, 264 leaves, 32 lines plus headline, roman letter (with headlines in gothic), woodcut illustration on title-page, 2- to 4-line initials supplied in red, 4- to 6-line initials supplied in red and blue, contemporary blind-tooled pigskin over wooden boards, outer roll-tooled border of a hunting scene, clasp, morocco label at foot of spine with shelfmark "Lit. H. 354" stamped in gilt, a few small wormholes at end (with slight loss of text) and in binding, binding slightly rubbed and soiled

"Liber D. Magni in Fuessen", from the Benedictine monastery of St Magnus in Füssen (Bavaria), inscription on title-page. The monastery was closed down in 1803 and much of its library is now housed by the University of Augsburg.
