1) Autograph draft of the Concerto for Orchestra, signed at the head of the manuscript ("A Tansman"), a complete draft for all five movements ("I...V"), with later autograph inscription to Marc Pincherle on the first page ("...en témoignage de ma...fidèle affection. ATansman. Paris. X-55"), notated in blue and red ballpoint pen, mostly on two-stave systems, containing autograph indications of timing and scoring, with numerous deletions, corrections and revisions, 8 pages, folio (44.7 x 27cm), 24-stave paper, blind-stamped "Editions Max Eschig", later autograph inscription dated Paris, [October] 1955, some very light creasing
2) Autograph draft of Psaumes (118, 119, 120) for tenor solo, choirs and orchestra, signed by the composer at the head and at the end ("Alexandre Tansman...AlTansman"), the composing manuscript of the piano and vocal score, written on systems of varying size in black ink and black and red ballpoint pen, some markings in orange crayon, containing numerous autograph inscriptions to the first page ("Pour Vladimir et Lulu avec la fidèle affection de leur ami Sacha Manuscrit original 1er Brouillon"), with extensive indications of scoring, numerous cancellations, corrections and revisions, 36 pages, folio (35 x 26.9cm), 12-stave paper, Paris and elsewhere June 1960-February 1961, light browning to edges of outer bifolium; with a copy of the first edition of the vocal score signed and inscribed by the composer ("Pour Vladimir et Lulu...leur ami Sacha...VI. 64.") (3)

Uncommon. Two closely-written autographs by the Polish-born composer Alexandre Tansman (1897-1986). The Concerto for Orchestra, dedicated to Darius Milhaud, was first performed at Venice on 13 September 1955; Psaumes was a commission by the French government, and first performed on 19 November 1962 at the Journées musicales internationales de Paris.
