- Autograph letter signed ("Erik Satie") to the dancer Élisabeth Toulemon ("Mlle Caryathis""), about Poulenc and Auric
- ink on paper
written in Satie's characteristic calligraphic manner, acknowledging the receipt of five hundred francs from her, which brings to one thousand francs received in total, out of the fifteen hundred francs they agreed for [the rights to] La belle Excentrique, and telling her that he had breakfast with Poulenc on Thursday, and as for Auric, he has just been idling at Sourges and so far has not come to pay respects but will surely come and embrace them courteously ("...J'ai déjeuné avec Poulenc, jeudi; il doit vous voir pour son truc. Auric, lui, m'est pas encore rentré. Il fait une sorte de grasse matinée à Sorgues en Vaucluse; mais il ne tardera pas à rentrer & à venir nous embrasser poliment. ..")

Elisabeth Toulemon (later Jouhandeau), had made her début as Caryathis in Satie's 'music-hall ballet' La belle excentrique in February 1920. This was a "fantaisie serieuse", comprising a 'Ritournelle', a 'Waltz du Mystérieux Baiser dans l'Oeil' and a concluding 'Cancan grand-mondain', for which work Toulemon acquired the performing rights from the composer.
