one in Italian, to José de la Cruz, the Spanish Minister of Defence, a letter of introduction for Signor Benelli and Signor Visconti, urging him to grant the two gentlemen his protection, whilst they are in Madrid, 1 page, 4to (26.5 x 20.5cms), integral autograph address panel, Paris, 6 April 1833 



 the other in French, to Stéphen de la Madelaine, the singer, writer on music and friend of Hector Berlioz, about Rameau, expressing enthusiasm for de la Madelaine's project to raise a statue to the composer, praising Rameau's stage works and his "ravissantes compositions de Clavecin que je fais toujours executer chez moi par le meilleur Interprete Madame Tardieu", and assuring him that he reads his magazine [the Univers musical] with a lively interest, 2 pages, 8vo, Passy, 4 September 1862,
