Condition
The following treatment report has been prepared by Stuart Sanderson (Paintings Conservation) 69 Rylett Crescent London W12 9RP:
The painting is basically in good condition. There are several accidental damages mostly at the edges and corners; this is because the slip is set back from the surface of the paint and has not protected it from various minor mishaps. These have been retouched in gouache and should be visible with close inspection.
The painting remains unvarnished.
