Condition
In good condition with scratching and denting to the gold commensurate with wear. With minor, but visible, splitting along the sides. The high points to the chased frieze have softened, and the laurel leaf decoration to the trim is almost gone. Minor evidence of solder at the hinge. French maker's mark and assay marks on tongue clasp. According to Henri Vever, this "centenary bracelet" was made by O. Roy and "issued by" Rivaud. See page 1049 of French Jewelry of the Nineteenth Century by Henri Vever for an engraved illustration of the design.
