The first brooch set with old European-cut and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.15 carats, accented by cushion-shaped and round rubies, and round demantoid garnets, fitted with pendant hook and removable brooch fitting; the second brooch set with single-cut and old European-cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.15 carats, accented by cushion-shaped and round demantoid garnets, and a round ruby, fitted with pendant hook and removable brooch fitting.
Condition
RUBY BROOCH: The rubies are a medium pinkish red color and of good clarity. The diamonds are of decorative nature. The small demantoid garnets are bright and lively and are eye clean. Provenance: Sotheby's, London, March 30, 2004, lot 23. GARNET BROOCH: The demantoid garnets are a bright medium yellow green color and are eye clean. Diamonds are of decorative quality. Provenance: Christie's, St. Mortiz, February 19, 2003, lot 389. Tarnishing to silver areas on the brooches, but overall in good condition.
