Platinum, Diamond and Natural Pearl Choker Necklace, Marcus & Co., Circa 1910

Designed as an openwork strap set in the center with an articulated pendant set with 2 natural pearls measuring approximately 10.86 and 10.82 mm., enhanced by 2 pear-shaped diamonds weighing approximately 2.00 carats, and an old European-cut diamond weighing approximately 1.50 carats, set throughout with marquise-shaped, single-cut and old European-cut diamonds weighing approximately 11.50 carats, length 13¾ inches, signed Marcus.

Accompanied by GIA report no. 1142431704 stating natural pearls, freshwater. In good condition. The slightly pinkish white button-shaped pearls are well-matched for color with moderate-to-strong pink, green and purple overtones. Minor pitting with thinning to the nacre near the bases, but very nice skins overall. The larger old European- and marquise-cut diamonds are approximately G-J color, VVS-VS clarity. The smaller diamonds are approximately G-H color, VS clarity. Signed on the upper pearl's mounting. Clasp is tight. To open, press firmly on the release tabs and withdraw the male end of the clasp while holding the female end in-place. (Male end is on the right when necklace is faced away from the wearer.)
