描述

  • gold, coral, enamel, ring
The modernist geometric motif set with two overlapping curved coral sections accented by black enamel stripes at either side, size 3, signed Raymond Templier, maker's mark, French assay marks.

Condition

Overall wear to the white gold mounting. Discoloration to the seam where shank was sized and negligible evidence of solder where the enamelled panels meet the shank. The coral is a medium peach-orange with subtle veining and minor chipping to the edges. Bubbling to the enamel that likely occurred during the firing process, resulting in a rough appearance to two of the cells which, from a distance, appear to have surface-level enamel loss or scratching. Workshop and assay mark on shank exterior; the signature is on the side of the shank.
In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above. Since we are not professional conservators or restorers, we urge you to consult with a restorer or conservator of your choice who will be better able to provide a detailed, professional report. Prospective buyers should inspect each lot to satisfy themselves as to condition and must understand that any statement made by Sotheby's is merely a subjective qualified opinion. Our presale estimates reflect this assumption.
