Emerald and diamond brooch, M. Gérard

Set at the center with a cluster of step-cut emeralds, the petals highlighted with brilliant-cut and baguette diamonds, signed M. Gérard and numbered, French assay and maker's marks, one diamond deficient.

Stamped with indistinct French assay mark and 750 for 18 carat gold. Signed on clip fitting, numbered 115. Emeralds well matched in colour, with typical crystal inclusions, few scratches, nicks and abrasions. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 27.00 - 30.00 carats, on average of G-H colour and VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in mounting, one diamond deficient. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use, one pin deficient from brooch fitting, would benefit from the attention of a professional jeweller. In good condition.
