Manuel Galvez est un poète et romancier, originaire de Buenos Aires. Très actif dans la vie littéraire et journalistique de son pays, il en fut un acteur incontournable des années 1910 à 1930, promouvant, par ses articles et critiques une nouvelle génération d'écrivains. Il fut candidat à trois reprises au Prix Nobel de littérature.
