The round diamond of yellow hue weighing approximately 7.10 carats, gross weight approximately 12 dwts., size 10¼, engraved C.S. Conley.

Condition

The diamond is approximately Fancy Light Yellow color, VVS-VS clarity. The hefty gold mounting in good condition overall with some nicking and scratching due to wear. Inscribed "C.S. Conley" inside the shank. Judge Charles Swinger Conley (1921- 2010) received his juridprudence degree from New York University Law School in 1955 and went on to be a noted Civil Rights attorney, and attorney of record for Martin Luther King, Jr. He was elected as Alabama's first black District Court Judge in 1972. This ring is being sold to benefit the NYU School of Law.
