Ivory, enamel and gold carnet de bal, CIRCA 1890

The ribs composed of ivory, numbered front to back from 1 to 24, the guard at either end decorated with polychrome enamel with a lotus flower motif, attached by chain to a ring, size N½, carnet length approximately 70mm, maker's marks, fitted case, Payne & Sons, pencil deficient.

Accompanied by fitted case signed Payne & Son, To The Queen, 32 Lowdes Street, Belgrave Square, S.W. Silk ribbon connecting the ribs needs to be replaced. In good condition.
