北苑流暉。
元宰畫法，本之北苑，而筆墨古逸，不似之似，乃其所以獨到
也。近時橅仿者，筆弱神敝，而欲與之爭勝，難矣！是卷款署香
光，知為少年所作，而林木蕭瑟，雲氣吞吐，生動之處，已見不
凡，推為大家，不虛也！
超然老兄視為明珠駿馬宜矣。癸亥涼秋。安吉吳昌碩時年八十。
鈐印：「俊卿之印」、「倉碩」。

註：從題跋可知本幅乃「嵩山草堂」所藏董其昌山水卷之引首。後
割裂為二，具吴缶老題耑部份自成篇章。此出於兵火，又或商賈
漁利所致，無從稽考矣！
馮超然師法古人，飽覽江南鉅室收藏書畫劇迹，目力奇高，自藏
者固大有可觀。本幅所題之董香光早年山水，筆墨生動處，已見
諸昌碩形容，題曰「北苑流暉」，比擬董源，誇賞備極。
吳馮年齡相距逾卅載，惟交情甚篤，倉石輒以「老兄」相稱。他們
訂交於一九○四年，共參與滬上畫壇活動，馮超然更常在昌碩滬
上畫室「夢綠軒」作畫。本幅書於缶老耄耋之齡，筆墨瀟灑酣暢，精
氣盈貫，雖裁切自畫卷，但自完自足，洵屬晚年愜意所出之神品。
