the central section of the bed cover with two central vertical panels, each enclosing sinuous full-frontal five-clawed dragons, picked out in yellow and gold silk threads, amidst cloud scrolls, on a rich blue silk-ground, framed by fourteen narrow vertical panels, each similarly woven with striding five-clawed dragons, the wide and narrow panels repeated to form around the three sides to form the bed skirt; together with a square panel, similarly composed of matching dragon panels, lined on blue damask
Condition
The condition of the larger cover is generally good and the colours are reasonably bright. However there is fraying to a number of the panels especially to the borders and to the centre. The condition of the smaller cover is not so good by comparison and the colours have faded and there is significant fraying to the lower and middle sections. There is a transparent platic cover to one third of the cover.
