Condition

The hanging is in reasonable condition with fraying to the gold threads, extensively to the lower right corner, and some on the dragon's face, the waves below, and on the gilt borders. There are other fraying threads to the Eight Immortals, especially on the faces. There are some stains, tears and losses to the figures, such as the area above He Xiangu's head, the shoes of Lan Caihe, and near the faces of other figures. The central lower part has two circular black stains (largest 1x1cm). The borders may have been cut and relined with blue linen. The colours are generally well preserved.
