woven with a lotus bloom within a ruyi-shaped quatrefoil cartouche amidst scrolling clouds, all above a pair of cranes confronting a lingzhi head over turbulent waves cresting against stylised mountains, encircled with a band of shou characters dispersed amongst detached floral sprays, mounted in a Perspex frame
Condition
The frame has not been removed during the inspection. The panel is inspected in fair condition with noticeable tears and losses, as seen in the catalogue image. There are two horizontal tears at the central lotus bloom, the largest measuring approx. 4cm long. Other tears are visible around the beribboned tributes underneath, the clouds, near the one of the cranes (5 x0.3cm) and some minor others on the waves and mountains. There are minor fraying to the threads and general colour fading.
