of rounded tapering form, profusely carved and pierced to the underside with figures riding on donkeys in a landscape, the top carved in low relief with a figure on a donkey and his attendant crossing a bridge over a rocky ravine, the ivory patinated to a rich warm honey tone on the upper surface, wood stand
Condition
The wrist rest is in good condition with the exception of a 3mm., wide chip to the lower edge of the underside, together with an associated 5mm., hairline crack, and a small area of loss to the braches of a tree at the lower right edge of the underside.
