each painted on the exterior with interlinked pomegranate lappets with iron-red mandorla-shaped flammiform outline, interspersed with iron-red, green, aubergine and yellow lança characters in between, the interior rim with a narrow band of similar characters, the base with four-character Zhi He Tang zhi (Hall of Extended Harmony) mark in iron-red within a double square (2)
Condition
Both rims with small areas of discoloration from iron spots and the surface of the bowls with minor wear, scattered iron spots and burst pinprick bubbles. One bowl is slightly warped and the interior of the other with a few glazed-over kiln adhesions and a small chip to the foot.
