It is rare to find carpets bearing a yuyong (for Imperial use) mark. A carpet of slightly smaller size dated to the Qing dynasty, with a yuyong mark from the Qianqing Gong, was sold in our London rooms, 12th July 2006, lot 114. Another example, also from the Qianqing Gong dated to the late 19th century was sold at Christie's Hong Kong, 30th May 2005, lot 1288.
