The sculpture with numerous chips and minor restorations. There is a horizontal split across the lap of the figure and further splits to both forearms (one with several associated breaks). There is a U-form restored break at the back of the figure along the base and a repair to the knee. There is a crack that extends around the figure's neck as well as other cracks scattered throughout the surface. There is overall wear to the surface with several areas where the lifted lacquer has been consolidated and overpainted.
