the rounded sides applied with opposing taotie masks suspending ring handles, the mouth with a tapered inner rim to receive the domed cover surmounted by a circular flaring finial, all supported on a pedestal foot, the rims embellished with broad silvered bands, the richly gilded exterior with patches of pale green encrustation (2)

Condition
The vessel and cover have been cleaned with traces and small clusters of earth encrustation. Minor loss and wear to the gilding. The silver has tarnished. Otherwise, in overall good condition.
