Collection of Dr. Richard and Mrs. Mary Eckhardt acquired in Japan between 1947-1952 while Dr. Eckhardt was serving as a surgeon in the United States Army and thence by descent.

There is a half inch (13mm) chip to the rim, and some black speckling in the interior of the neck. There is a long Y-shaped crack running across the base, as well as some pin pricks and kiln grit. There is a small circular gap in the blue glaze on the body which is original to firing, and some expected abrasion around the body.
