the small rectangular plaque finely carved in shallow relief on one side with a seated elderly scholar leaning against a rock with an attendant standing behind a wheelchair, the reverse inscribed with a 28-character poem written in lishu (clerical script), pierced on top for suspension, the stone of even white colour
Condition
The plaque is in overall very good condition. The illustration in the catalogue is incorrect. For the correct images, please see our e-catalogue at http://www.sothebys.com/en/auctions/ecatalogue/2012/ceramics-vo-hk0399/lot.3152.html. The actual colour is quite close to the illustration.
