STRUCTURE
The canvas has been relined. There are frame abrasions along each edge and a craquelure pattern across the surface, predominantly in the sky. There also appear to be old stretcher bar marks along the left, upper and right edges. There is a small spot of paint loss near the upper left corner and another near the upper right. The surface appears slightly dirty and may benefit from a light clean.
ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT
Under UV light there appear to be some small, old retouchings along the upper, left and right edges. Elsewhere there appear to be a few minor old retouchings in isolated places of the foreground, the left mountain and right mountain and the sky in between.
FRAME
Held in an ornate 19th century gilt plaster frame (some losses).
