STRUCTURE The canvasboard bows slightly but is sound. There is a small area of craquelure in the white pigment right of the fruit bowl. The surface is slightly dirty and may benefit from a light clean; otherwise the work appears in good overall condition with strong passages of impasto. ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT Under UV light there appear to some small retouchings above and to the right of the fruit bowl. There are a few further spots above right of the signature and near the centre of the right edge. There is diagonal line across the upper left edge and a small area in the upper right edge. FRAME Float mounted within a dark stained wooden box frame.
