of long dress form, embroidered throughout with pink, white, green, yellow, blue and gilt metallic threads with grape batches and a floral composition on a light green silk background, the collar and edges with scrolling relief decoration, small hidden metallic hooks to back for securing

In overall good condition, few loose threads, as viewed.

The following dress was probably put together in the first half of the twentieth century, circa 1930/1940's, using an older embroidered, appliqué and metal thread textile (circa 1800) demonstrating the continued appreciation for luxurious Ottoman embroidered textiles.
