the curved tapering double-edged blade with gold overlay at the forte, the intricately carved ivory hilt with figures and inscription, the pommel and band between the grip set with cut gemstones, the nielloed silver scabbard decorated with naturalistic depictions of buildings and foliate motifs and inscribed with a tughra 

Condition

overall condition is good, some rubbing throughout, ivory intact and in good condition, all stones intact, as viewed.

sana 125[0]  'Year 125[0] (1834-5)'

On the Ottoman scabbard:

'Ibrahim Haqqi [1]317 (1899-1900)'

There is an Ibrahim Haqqi (Hakki) Pasha (1862-1918), who was the Prime Minister (1910-11) under Muhammad V.

With a tughra that is not clear.
