Arabic manuscript on polished paper, 301 leaves plus 3 flyleaves, 15 lines to the page, written in neat Naskh script in black ink, verses separated by small gold roundels pointed in blue and red, catchwords, numerous words written in red and matched on the opposing page with the same word, surah headings written in white Thuluth script against plain gold panels, leafy gold sprays amid the text, illuminated floral marginal devices throughout, opening illuminated double page frontispiece in colours and gold, with punched cintamani motifs, colophon with ensuite decoration, red morocco binding with gilt stamped cartouches and cornerpieces filled with chinoiserie cloud bands, with flap, in two-part slipcase 

Condition

In good overall condition, wear to slipcase, a few minor paper repairs, pages generally clean and illumination bright, as viewed.
