Ce chandelier est conçu par Diego Giacometti en 1951 pour le cinquantième anniversaire de son frère Alberto. Le propriétaire, ami proche des frères Giacometti et important collectionneur de leur travail depuis les années soixante se souvient l'avoir acquis à l'atelier en présence d'Alberto :
"Alberto les adorait et me disait que les chevaux galopaient dans la forêt et avaient encore l'écume à la bouche".

This piece was bought by the present owner from Diego in 1962. The above, important collector and friend of the two brothers recalled perfectly the condition of this purchase and said Alberto was there when she bought it and declared :  "Alberto loved these horses and used to tell me that they were galoping in the forest and still had the foam on the lips".

Bon état général Quelques usures de la patine notamment sur le dessus de deux des bobeches, et sur la base, a l'arriere. Petites traces d'oxydation dans les creux de la crinière des têtes des chevaux. Good overall condition A few spreaded traces and scratches to the patina. A few rare tracesof vert de gris at some areas consistent with normal age and use
