Condition
This work is in good condition overall. The canvas is clear and taut. Indications of light wear and handling are found along the edges and margins of the painting, including some areas of abrasion in the lower edges, which are presumably due to previous frame. There is also a slight undulation to the canvas, which is only evident upon close observation. Under ultraviolet light, there is no evidence of restoration. Subtle tonal changes, brushwork and texture of the painting are more beautifully expressed in the actual painting. Colour of the catalogue illustration is accurate. Framed.
