The painting is in good condition overall. Close observation reveals networks of flattened creases throughout the surface, particularly on the lower register and on the upper right. There are some evidence of wear and handling along the edges and margins, along with associated retouching along the upper edge and a pin-sized hole on the green bird, a repair on the upper left (blue sky), as well as scuffs and scratches on the upper register (particularly on the upper left), lower register and on the green bird and a repair on the upper right quadrant. There are some craquelures on the thicker paint layers and an area of scattered paint loss on the lower right (i.e. the vines), middle, middle right and upper middle right. Under ultraviolet light inspection there is a spot of restoration on the upper left (blue sky area). The painting is in good condition overall, consistent with its age and medium. Framed in a gilded wooden frame, with Plexiglas.
